As the diamond ecosystem evolves, screening requirements are becoming more complex — especially with the increasing trend of CZ (Cubic Zirconia) being mixed with natural and lab-grown diamonds, particularly in smaller sizes and studded jewellery.
To support this industry need, we are pleased to announce the launch of a new upgrade: CZ Positive Identification Mode, now available for selected existing machine models.
What Is CZ and Why Is This Upgrade Important?
Cubic Zirconia (CZ) has been the world’s most widely used diamond simulant for over four decades. While CZ may appear visually similar to a diamond, it does not share the same optical, chemical, or physical properties.
In loose form, trained professionals may sometimes identify CZ by weight or reflection behaviour — but once stones are:
- Mounted in jewellery,
- Cut into melee sizes, or
- Mixed in large batches,
identifying CZ with the naked eye becomes nearly impossible.
For reliable separation, technology must now complement experience.

Terms & Conditions
- This is a permanent hardware and firmware upgrade and cannot be reversed or downgraded.
- Once installed, the upgrade fees is non-refundable.
- Customers are encouraged to view the video demonstration or live online performance review before confirming the upgrade.
- DRC is not responsible for transit damage if the shipment is self-arranged.
- Warranty on newly installed components applies as per policy; original machine warranty terms remain unchanged.
- Upgrade eligibility depends on the machine model and serial verification.
